<description>1. dig the smooth transitions (versus abrupt). goes for overlay items, mouseover color changes, etc.
2. for the mouse activated overlay controls, key to keep the controls up for a second even on mouse out. too hectic otherwise, particularly on a manic mouser (trademark jg, 2008). agree with stagnant mouse in video, turn off controls. again, if using overlay.
3. hulu lights-out is so great
4. nice tool tips on brightcove. nice clear font as well on all items.
5. does youtube set the ux standard as peeps are used to it? if they look at a video anywhere they will expect something youtube like? conform yet enhance?
6. speaking of youtube, the motion in the action buttons never worked for me. never patient enough to wait for it, then figure out what it is referring to. and now that i know their message, and that the animation is communicating a message, it sidetracks me for that split second b/c i know they are about to move. it is like waiting to hear someone finish a sentence even though you know what they are trying to say.
